As a teen, you are faced with seeing images in popular media of smoking as acceptable and non-problematic. Peers don’t make it any easier, as many teens experience bullying by classmates to take up smoking. Perhaps your parents smoke and you are struggling with taking up cigarettes.

Many teens take up smoking for a number of reasons. Sometimes it is due to peer pressure that teens begin to smoke. Other times a family member smokes making it hard to see the problem with smoking as a teen. Popular media doesn’t make it any easier on teens, with movie stars and singers seen smoking throughout films and magazines. With all of these influences, it can be hard for a teen to resist smoking.

Teens that begin smoking cigarettes are generally more inclined to develop nicotine addiction  later on in life. Those addictions can lead to cancers and other health problems no teen should have to face. Dependencies on cigarettes can easily develop in teens, making it important that teens always know the dangers they face with every puff of smoke.

His smoking habit has become such a problem that he can’t wait until the director calls “cut” to get a smoke.

The hard word on Radcliffe, 18, comes as Hollywood movie star Patrick Swayze recently announced he was dying from pancreatic cancer – and was globally shamed for being caught smoking in public with the disease. ”The cigarette loving celebrity has been spending late nights out with pals Kevin Spacey and Steven Fry and reportedly has picked up some late-night party habits.”

A source said: “Daniel has recently been smoking up to 20 cigarettes a day. ”Every time they call ‘Cut’, he lights up. ”It’s disgusting.” ”Friends and co-stars including Rupert Grint have been warning him about the dangers of smoking.” But he doesn’t seem to be taking any notice. Close friends fear Daniel’s unhealthy habit could ruin his clean-cut image – and have now warned him not to be seen puffing in public.
